Challenge Completed!

In my last post, (can be read here), I discussed a 4 week running challenge that I was attempting to complete...well guess what?

COMPLETED!

FINISHED!

DONE!

The Grand Prize winner has yet to be announced--I'll keep you posted on that but in the mean while I am calling it a WIN!  Not only was the challenge what I needed to jump start my motivation but I am now back in the habit of running AND I'm loving it.
Added bonus:
Over the last 4 weeks I have been able to see improvement in my pace.
When I began on July 13 I ran a mile in 12:36 and when I finished my last run of the challenge on Aug 7, I ran a mile in 11:15.

One of the very first bloggers that I started following was a lady by the name of Katie, she can be found over at Runs for Cookies, and she is a runner.  She actually lost over 100 lbs with a proper diet, exercise and running!  But I'll let her tell her own story-check it out.

Anyway, she came up with a Summer Running Checklist, a running bucket list of sorts.  It is a list of 49 different runs;
things like

~Early Bird Run...start your run before 7:00 a.m.
~Trail Run...run on a nature trail
~Buddy Run...run with a friend

You can find the entire list here.

So of the 49 suggested runs, I am capable of potentially completing 27 of them.  Some included dates that are past tense and others I'm just not willing to do i.e. Run in the Dark.  I run alone and I'm just not willing to put my safety at risk to check that one off the list.

So my goal is to complete 21 of the 27 within the next 7 weeks.  That equates to running 3 times/week until the official end of summer on Sept. 22.

Who's in with me?

Until Next Time,
Heather
