What I'm reminiscing about...
22 years ago I was about to be a Mom for the first time.
It's a GIRL!
A beautiful 7lb 12oz baby girl...I'll call her Cammie Megan.
What I'm loving...
Our cooler weather.
I LOVE that I have been able to turn off the AC and open the windows.
I LOVE the fresh Autumn air wafting throughout the house.
I LOVE the cooler nights and crisp mornings.
What we've been up to...
Since the beginning of August we have had Cheerleading and we finished that up this past weekend.
Our boys played so well throughout the season that they secured themselves a place in the playoffs but unfortunately did not pull out a win in the first round.
It's bittersweet really...as I am ready to have my Saturday's back, but I WILL miss my girls!
What I'm dreading...
Christmas shopping
I love Christmas but shopping during Christmas is so stressful!!!
What I'm working on...
Developing my blog.
I started this blog over a year ago but I have yet to develop a consistent posting schedule. I have a dream about what I want my little space to become and have been hard at work to come up with a plan that will allow me to, one day, achieve my blog goals.
What I'm excited about...
Halloween
What I'm watching/reading...
I know that I am late to the party...I usually am when it comes to entertainment but I am loving the new show
It airs on NBC, Tuesday's @ 9:00.
You can watch the previous episodes here, which is what I did last week during my lunch breaks.
What I'm wearing...
I have mentioned before that it has finally turned Fall in N. Georgia so I have been wearing a lot of the following...
Blanket Scarf
Puffer Vest
Flannel Button Front Shirt @ Kohl's
Fringe Scarf
Booties
Vera Wang Skinny Jeans @ Kohl's
And much to my husband's dismay, I have been wearing these on repeat...
I mean...if you don't love a cozy pair of flannel lounge pants, I'm afraid we just can't be friends.
What I'm doing this weekend...
The 3 of us are heading north to Highlands, NC for a little hiking, waterfall chasing and leaf viewing.
I'm most excited about viewing the following 2 Falls:
Dry Falls
Bridal Veil Falls
I'm most excited about viewing the following 2 Falls:

Obviously those are NOT my images but aren't they beautiful!?
Hoping to see some great Autumn leaf colors while hiking Whiteside Mountain in the Nantahala National Forest.
What I'm looking forward to next month...
Watching the 90th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
It isn't Thanksgiving in my home until I have watched the Parade. I cuddle up by the fire with a warm cup of coffee and spectate from the comfort of my couch.
But one of these years, just once, I want to watch from the streets of NY.
#bucketlist
What else is new...
Nothing new to note on the home front...just business as usual.
Work. Home. Repeat.
BONUS QUESTION
What is my favorite Halloween memory?
So I am going to share with you a Halloween memory from my childhood.
We lived in a rural community and 30+ years ago there weren't any local subdivisions or Trunk or Treats hosted by our local church for us kids to Trick or Treat. What that meant was you went to neighboring family and friends homes, got out of the car...ran to the door...got back in the car and drove for several miles before doing it all again.
There was this one house in particular that I always remember having spooky, scary decor. It was a bit intimidating walking up to their door when it was just you and your younger brother. But given the limited number of houses that we were able to visit, I certainly didn't want to NOT Trick or Treat there.
So I knocked, went inside (which is unheard of this day and time), reached my hand in the candy dish and BAM...someone, something grabbed my hand.
My oh my...my heart still skips a beat when I think about it.
AND...I still remember exactly where that house is.

Well there you have it...my WUW: October Edition.
What have you been up to lately?
Until Next Time,

LOVE your Christmas Shopping ecard. Hilarious! My mom actually got mad at me, just yesterday because I bought something she had already gotten me for Christmas. WHAAATTT? I really enjoyed your post today. I feel like I identified with all of it! The clothes, the trip, This Is Us, but mostly the PAJAMA PANTS!
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas shopping ecard is my life. Every year I tell myself that I'll start shopping over the summer and it's inevitable. The month of December rolls around and I'm freaking out about finding things for everyone. I've heard SO MUCH about This is Us, so I definitely need to hop on that bandwagon and watch it! I love a good show.
