October Goals...

Let me start by saying that I didn't do to well with meeting September's goals so I'm hoping that by making my goals public, it will keep me more accountable to them.

~~Address change from P.O. Box to Street Address~~

About 50% of our mail is already being mailed to our street address and the other 50% goes to a P.O. Box.  It is so much easier to pick up the mail from the box at the end of our driveway and such an inconvenience to have to stop in town at the post office, not to mention closing the P.O. Box will save us $50/year.  I have had this on my 'To Do' list for quite some time and I have just got to bite the bullet and take the time to make the changes.

~~Blog post at least 4 times a week~~

Since this is my new 'baby', I really need to make sure that I am contributing to it in a timely fashion. It is still new and I want to keep my readers and followers engaged.  I don't want you forgetting about me because I was sporadic with my posts.

~~Workout a minimum of 4 days a week~~

I have soooo fallen off the wagon in this department.  Not at all happy about it and I must find the motivation, determination, gumption to get back in the wagon.  I know that I always feel better, have more energy and just an overall happier person when I make the time to sweat.  I also know that I can make all kinds of excuses for reasons to "put it off until tomorrow" but that just makes me madder at myself.  I AM my worst critic!  So I am going to put this goal on the front burner and MAKE it happen.

~~Begin & continue a daily devotion or bible study~~

I purchased the book "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" by Joanna Weaver over the summer yet I have failed to begin the study.  This morning, as I was having my coffee, it struck me as the perfect time to begin---so I did.  I completed Ch. 1 and I'm looking forward to what the Lord has in store for me while I work my way through this study.  I am definitely a "Martha" and strive to be more like "Mary", not only in my walk with God, but in my everyday life...more listening and less doing.

~~Try 1 new recipe a week~~

I have a small library of cookbooks, not to mention the 100's of recipes that I have pinned on Pinterest (follow me @Heather Ausburn) and while I do utilize those from time to time, I also get in a cooking rut and often defer to the same old menu items week after week.  Months ago I had adopted this same goal and discovered quite a few great eats so I am resurrecting the goal for October.

What are your October goals?

Heather
