I haven't gotten around to posting about Halloween so today we are going to throw it back a whopping 10 days!
I have said it before but I love Halloween.
I don't love it for the scare factor or gore but I love it for our tradition and time spent as a family.
Thankfully, my office closed early on Monday so I was able to get home to assist AB with getting into costume.
We headed out at 6:00...trying to beat the crowd and the dark.
Luckily we were able to accomplish both.
So we park at a local subdivision and walk from house to house. The residents of the neighborhood really do a great job and get into the spirit of things. They have great decorations and the majority of the homes participate. I also love to see all of the other kiddos (& parents) dressed up.
Once through the neighborhood and AB's bucket was full.
Time to head back home where our crock of soup was simmering away.
Several years ago, through Food Network, I was introduced to Chicken Tortilla Soup by Trisha Yearwood. It was love at first taste. It has since been added to our Halloween tradition.
In years past, we (Z and I) have not dressed up as anything other than our "normal" selves. This year, however, I ran across this and just couldn't pass up the opportunity for Z to "dress up".
I think I've started something, I'm already thinking about who/what we can be next year.
Any suggestions?
Until Next Time,
Heather
